We recommend 6063-T6 for complex extruded enclosures due to its balance of structural strength, ease of extrusion, and excellent response to anodizing. For high mechanical stress, 6061-T6 offers greater yield strength, though it is slightly more difficult to extrude into complex profiles.
We process gasket channels during extrusion or via post-extrusion CNC milling. When paired with high-performance silicone or EPDM gasket profiles, these tight mechanical interfaces prevent ingress of dust and water under low-pressure immersion conditions.
