The supplier must possess specialized knowledge in aluminum alloys suitable for ESS. This includes guidance on selecting the optimal alloy (e.g., 6061, 6063, or specific grades) to balance structural strength, weight, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, and weldability.
ESS enclosures are complex structural components, not simple boxes. The supplier must have proven capability in large-profile extrusion: producing consistent, defect-free profiles with tight tolerances for seamless assembly.
In-house testing capabilities for dimensional inspection (CMM), material verification (spectrometer analysis), mechanical property tests, and crucially, leak testing (air/water pressure decay). Documented control plans for every stage, from raw material to final packaging.
Secured sources of primary aluminum and managed inventory of critical components. Experience in handling and protecting large, finished assemblies for domestic or export markets.
