Maximizing Energy Efficiency and Structural Stability in Modern Architecture
Thermal break (or thermal barrier) technology represents one of the most critical structural advancements in building envelopes. Aluminum, while structurally strong, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant, possesses a high thermal conductivity rate of approximately 200 W/m·K. In modern architecture, this leads to structural thermal bridging, causing significant energy loss, condensation build-up, and increased load on heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.
By integrating a low-thermal-conductivity material—specifically Polyamide PA66-GF25 (reinforced with 25% glass fiber)—between the interior and exterior aluminum chambers, the thermal transfer pathway is effectively severed. This composite structure achieves a thermal transmittance (U-value) drop of over 60%, drastically improving insulation capabilities.
As a leading China Thermal Break Aluminium Profile Manufacturer, Aoli Aluminum (through our flagship brand Aolijie) leverages advanced extrusion lines ranging from 900 tons to 2000 tons to produce structurally optimized insulated profiles that meet the most rigorous global energy standards.

From Local Vision to Global Standards in Sustainable Metallurgy
The story of "Aolijie" begins in the year 2000. Our founder, Mr. Wong, entered the construction materials market at the dawn of China's monumental urban expansion. The real estate market was surging, yet it was clear that standard aluminum extrusions lacked the insulation efficiency required for the long-term future.
Believing that aluminum profiles represent a highly recyclable, lightweight, and durable answer to green construction, Mr. Wong dedicated himself to establishing a facility focused on thermal performance improvements. In 2009, this dream materialized with the opening of a 10,000 square meter factory in Sihui, Guangdong, and the launching of the brand "Aolijie".
"A" stands as the beginning, representing No.1 priority. "O" stands for Option. Together, AO signifies being your "First Choice" partner.
"L" represents Leading and "I" represents Indicator. This drives our search for advanced standards and modern design parameters.
In Chinese, "Jie" (杰) stands for master craftsmanship and structural excellence, ensuring every product is an engineering milestone.
A timeline of our development from a local workshop to an international manufacturer
Our initial 10,000 square meter factory commenced production in Sihui, Guangdong. We launched the "Aolijie" brand, aiming to solve thermal transmittance issues in architectural framing.
We expanded R&D, obtaining 13 design patents and securing our ISO9001 quality system certification. We optimized our raw material sourcing to use only premium 6063 billet alloys.
To meet global demand, we constructed a larger 100,000 square meter plant, elevating annual production capacity to 100,000 tons. This phase introduced automated powder coating and anodizing lines.
In 2024, we established our corporate sales office in Foshan, Guangdong. To better support international buyers, we are opening our first branch in Malaysia by 2026.

100% full inspection procedures coupled with comprehensive physical and chemical lab analyses
We implement a strict multi-tier quality assurance protocol. Our factory executes 100% full inspection across our main production batches, backed by a 5% secondary spot check. Every individual batch undergoes at least 8 secondary checks, alongside random Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) testing in compliance with ISO 2859 and ANSI/ASQ Z1.4.
This guarantees that every thermal break frame profile displays optimal mechanical properties, including tensile strength, shear resistance, and structural integrity.
Our in-house laboratories perform chemical and structural testing on every extrusion batch to verify performance:
Composition Analysis
Tensile Test
Hardness Test
Dimension Check
Coating Test
Salt Spray Test
UV Aging Test
A technical guide to thermal break selection, structural design, and global procurement strategies
Architectural and engineering firms must choose between two main thermal barrier methods: Polyamide Strut Insertion (commonly PA66-GF25) and Polyurethane (PU) Pour-and-Debridge.
Polyamide struts are mechanically locked into pre-knurled chambers on the aluminum profiles, forming a structurally superior composite profile. The 25% glass fiber reinforcement ensures the coefficient of thermal expansion closely matches that of raw aluminum. This matching rate prevents shearing or structural degradation during extreme temperature changes.
Additionally, polyamide struts enable the interior and exterior profile sections to be finished with different surface treatments (e.g., anodized on the exterior for weather resistance, and powder-coated on the interior for aesthetic flexibility).
The production of high-performance thermal break extrusions requires advanced technology, high-purity raw materials, and efficient logistics. Guangdong, particularly the Foshan and Sihui manufacturing hubs, offers unmatched logistical and resource advantages:
Global procurement requires strict compliance with regional building codes. Aolijie ensures all custom profiles conform to national and international standards:
The construction industry is shifting toward reducing embodied carbon. By utilizing secondary recycled billet mixtures and optimized thermal break designs, we help projects achieve LEED and BREEAM certifications. Designing thinner profile cross-sections with wider, multi-chambered polyamide strips allows us to lower U-values without increasing the weight of the aluminum framework.
Key technical and logistics inquiries for procurement managers and structural engineers
Standard aluminum profiles have a thermal conductivity of approximately 200 W/m·K. Profiles fitted with PA66-GF25 thermal break strips reduce this rate drastically, enabling window and door systems to achieve overall U-values below 1.6 W/m²K, depending on glass and assembly specifications.
We primarily utilize 6063-T5 and 6063-T6 aluminum alloys. These alloys offer an ideal balance of tensile strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent surface finish, making them the standard choice for architectural framing and window systems.
Yes. By using the strip assembly method, we can powder coat or anodize the interior and exterior aluminum sections separately before crimping them onto the polyamide strip. This allows for dual-color options to match both exterior facades and interior decor.
Our manufacturing facilities operate under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems. Our profiles meet ASTM, EN, and AS/NZS standards, backed by batch-specific quality inspection reports that detail chemical composition, tensile strength, and hardness.
Generally, new extrusion molds are designed and manufactured within 10 to 14 days. Once the sample is approved, bulk production takes approximately 15 to 20 days, depending on order size and finishing requirements.
We use high-precision stretch straighteners on our extrusion tables. Dimensional measurements are continuously checked against EN 755-9 and DIN 17615 standards using digital measurement devices during production runs.
For custom profile designs, the typical MOQ is 1 to 3 tons per profile configuration. However, this is flexible depending on profile complexity, weight per meter, and tool dimensions.
Yes, we offer complete deep-processing services. Our CNC center handles precision cutting, mitering, drilling, tapping, punching, and milling, supplying ready-to-assemble profiles directly to your production line.
