The choice of alloy directly affects thermal conductivity and strength. While 6063 provides excellent thermal conductivity (approx. 200 W/m·K) and is ideal for complex fin patterns, 6061 is preferred for structural strength (approx. 166 W/m·K). We optimize temper states (T5/T6) to balance mechanical strength with high thermal performance.
Thin-fin geometry increases the surface area for heat exchange. Using extrusion presses ranging from 900 to 2,000 tons, we produce high aspect ratio (up to 15:1 or greater) heatsinks. This ensures narrow channels and thin fins that minimize thermal resistance while keeping weight low.
